Overview
Bubbles to most seems to be an eccentric wolf lady, others know her as a renowned dark magician. In reality she is both these. Originally she came from another planet with the appearance of a huge toothy looking monster, she adopted her current form by taking over the body of a woman she saw when she arrived on Earth. This woman was being pursued by a lizard man mage. He took Bubbles in, naming her and teaching her the dark arts before she turned on him and killed him. Her name ended up becoming her weakness, any time bubbles are floating around she becomes enraptured with them until they are all popped. This is far from her usual personality of arrogance, condescension, cruelty and anger.
Bubbles spends her time researching, studying and experimenting with dark magics and doing dealings with other mages. Most of her work is self serving and its really a hobby more than anything to do testing on live subjects.
She works out to keep her body toned, even if without it she would still have tremendous superhuman strength. She is proud of her appearance and isn't afraid to show off.
Design notes
Orginally I got a sketch of "Bubbles Sparklepelt" a character from Chookyfang. Dropping the last name, I took the base design elements and adapted them. The first major change was when I drew the inside of her mouth purple, this was influenced by the purple and yellow of the inside of the mouth of Audrey II from the 1986 Little Shop Of Horrors movie. I also took the extra terrestrial and maneating nature of Twoey, additionally that Bubbles mother was a giant plant, also adding a little bit of the dentist's sadism too.
Bubbles has also become buffer and more well endowed as I became more confident in my drawing of those features. Her tight suit jacket over her muscles is inspired by an illustration from Fantastic Furries and Where to Find Them by Chris Hart, it features a black panther vampire with skin tight clothes, a cloak and an orb in his grip.
